Grand Bahama Island will welcome over 450 and guests to our island this year November.  Over the years, Tabernacle Baptist Academy Falcons has become synonymous with sporting, and more specifically, basketball excellence, on the island of Grand Bahama, and the country at large. Further, the Tabernacle Thanksgiving Classic Basketball tournament has become a premiere sports tourism event, which according to the Ministry of Tourism, “serves great for Grand Bahama, as this has been one of the marquee high school sports tourism events on the island.”  This tournament also creates an avenue for local players to showcase their talents and measure their skill sets with their U.S. counterparts; as well as receive secondary and tertiary level scholarship opportunities.

It was only fitting, therefore, that Hutchison Ports Bahamas, upon the request of Tabernacle Christian Academy, made a donation to assist in defraying costs associated with the tournament.  As a responsible corporate partner, Hutchison Ports Bahamas, prides itself in assisting with programs that make a positive impact on young Bahamians, in particular and the island, in general.

Hutchison Ports FCP, Hutchison Ports FHC and Hutchison Ports GBAC is excited to play a part in making this Tabernacle Thanksgiving Classic, a great success.
